We continue serialization of the collected version of the three-issue 2017 miniseries Empowered and the Soldier of Love, written and laid out by me and featuring full-color artwork by the Chilean webcomic artist Karla Diaz.
Panel 2: Ehh, the slightly cryptic "FWAPP" sound FX was probably supposed to indicate Emp slapping her hand onto an unseen panel for some sort of palmprint-reading (or supersuitprint-reading?) security measure, but that didn't really work here; I should've just asked to see her rattling a closed door handle, really.
Next week on the webcomic, issue #2 of the miniseries reaches its cliffhanging conclusion as Emp faces El Soldado del Amor for the first time. Lordy loo!
Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test projects The Last Party and The Chaste and the Chained.
